Hurricane Gustav

Well, here we go again! A train of hurricanes, tropical storms and wanna-be's are heading our way... at present. Everyone in south Louisiana is in frenzy mode. It's hard to find gas, water, and any other necessity... and the storm is at least 3-4 days away. But Louisiana is being very cautious this time especially on the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Contra flow should begin Saturday evening out of New Orleans if Gustav still looks like he may come our way.

We are waiting and seeing. If it looks dangerous or at least strong enough to knock out power for a week, then we will head north to Tallulah and wait it out. We already had a trial run power outage when our A/C went on the fritz yesterday. We all slept, camp-out style, on the floor of our school room because it was the only room with a window unit A/C. (It was kind of fun!) But we had A/C and fans and in a true power outage we would have nothing! So....we will go north in that case. (By the way our A/C was fixed the following morning by my more than able husband! Yea! Herb!)
